2010 Calendar of Events

January 9th & January 16th, 2010 (Saturdays)

All Texas District 19 Little League will register players for the 2010 season.

These two Saturdays, every Texas District 19 Little League will be registering players from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM

Following are the locations for each League's Registration Site:

This information will be posted as furnished by each Little League in District 19

January 10th, 2010 (Sunday)

League Presidents and District Staff Meeting to review regular season information to include inter-leagues.

2:00 PM Until 5 PM at the Windcrest Civic Center

This meeting is a must for all League Presidents and for District Staff.

Why:  We will be making decisions that everyone needs to be aware of and will want to be included in the discussions and decisions.

January 25th, 2010 (Monday)

League Presidents, VP and District Staff Meet to review need for Inter-Leagues in both Baseball and Softball

Columbia LL, Greater Helotes LL, Northside Suburban LL and Northwest LL

6:00 PM at Northside Suburban Upstairs Meeting Room above the Concession.

This meeting is for League Presidents, VP's and District Staff.

We will review the number of players and teams in all divisions of baseball and softball to determine the need for inter-leagues.

 

We will meet in the upstairs meeting room at Northside Suburban LL which is above the concession.

January 27th, 2010 (Wednesday)

League Presidents, VP and District Staff Meet to review need for Inter-Leagues in both Baseball and Softball

Alamo Heights LL, Capitol Park LL, Greater Northeast LL, McAllister Park LL, Towne & Country LL and Windcrest LL

6:00 PM at Baseball Express's Team Sales Office located on Nakoma St across the runway of the airport.

This meeting is for League Presidents, VP's and District Staff.

We will review the number of players and teams in all divisions of baseball and softball to determine the need for inter-leagues.

 

We will meet in Baseball Express's Team Sales Office located on Nakoma St.  (Across the runway from the airport.)

February 19th, 20th &21st, 2010 (Friday-Saturday-Sunday)

Feb 19th - 6pm to 9pm  Rules Clinic

Feb 20th - 8am to 5 pm  Rules Clinic

Feb 21st - 12 pm until ?  Field Mechanics

Rules and Umpire Clinic at the Windcrest Civic Center

Fee is $15.00 per person (Lunch provided on Saturday)

Little League Rules Clinic and Umpire Clinic to be conducted by the Texas District 19 Training Staff at the Windcrest Civic Center.

 

The Rules Clinic is being offered to ALL Little Leagues and their managers and coaches on Feb 19th & 20th.

 

This is also an Umpire Clinic whereby the rules will be covered on Feb 19 & 20th and Field Mechanics Classes will be held on Feb 21st..

There is a $15.00 fee for all participants, you will receive a BB or SB Rulebook, Umpire Manual, Right Call Book and lunch on Saturday, all included for the fee.

February 27th, 2010 (Saturday)

 

Little League is conducting a Regional Coaching Clinic.

 

8:00 AM Until 5 PM at the Windcrest Civic Center

Little League Baseball out of Williamsport is hosting a Coaching Clinic with the assistance of Texas District 19.

This Coaching Clinic is being offered to ALL Little Leagues and their managers and coaches in the the 7 state Southwestern Region.

There will be managers and coaches from Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas East and Texas West.

This is your league's opportunity to attend a premier event and not have the travel involved to send your managers and coaches.  There will be a small fee to cover refreshments and lunch, which will be provided.

Texas District 19 will put out more information as the final plans are approved.

May 19th, 2010 (Wednesday)

League Presidents and District Staff Meeting to review Tournament Rules for the City and District All-Star Tournaments and draw for pairings.

6:00 PM Until 9:00 PM at the Windcrest Civic Center

This meeting is a must for all League Presidents and for District Staff.

This is the absolute last date that a team can be added or dropped.  Any team dropped after this date will not receive a refund of fees paid.

June 5th, 2010 (Saturday)

1st Day that 9-10 Baseball and 10-11 Baseball Tournaments Teams can be announced.

Note:  This applies to ONLY  9-10 & 10-11 Baseball - all others announce on June 15th.

June 5th is the first day to announce 9-10 Baseball and 10-11 Baseball ONLY due to these two divisions official first game of the tournament being  June 19th.

June 6th, 2010 (Sunday)

1:00 pm until 5:00 PM

City Tournament Managers/Coaches Meeting.

Do Not Bring Playing Equipment.

 Equipment for City Tournaments will be checked at Tournament Games.

Times:

1:00 pm - Little League Minor Softball & Little League Softball

2:30 pm - Junior/Senior Softball & Little League Minor Baseball

4:00 pm - Little League Baseball

5:00 pm - Junior Baseball & Senior Baseball

Important:  Please bring two (2) signed completed copies of your City Tournament Affidavit to the meeting.  These must be turned into the Tournament Directors.

NOTE:  Please assure that ALL of the regular season team members are listed on this affidavit along with the two additional players allowed under the playing rules.  No players may be added or replaced as these are regular season teams and are your league championship teams.

June 9th, 2010 (Wed) thru June 15th, 2010 (Tue)

City Tournament Championship Games 

Schedules for the City Tournament Games will be posted to the District website under the "Tournaments" link at least 30 days prior to the tournaments begin.  Schedules cannot be prepared until after the District Administrator and League Presidents meeting to draw for pairings.
June 12th, 2010 (Saturday)

10:00 AM

 

9-10 and 10-11 Baseball only District All-Star Tournament Managers/Coaches Meeting.

 

Please bring your playing equipment to be checked by our umpire staff-do not bring bats.

10 AM -  9-10 Baseball &  10-11 Baseball 

Please be prompt, leave your equipment with the District Equipment Personnel and proceed to the inside meeting area so as not to delay the managers/coaches Tournament Meeting.

Note:  All Teams MUST bring a copy of their printed Affidavit with all signatures and Team Book containing Birth Certificates (and 1 copy of BC) along with 3 valid proofs of residence. 

League Presidents:  Please assure that you send the District Office an electronic copy of the Teams Affidavit that is complete and matches the printed copy.

June 14th, 2010 (Monday)

6:00 pm until 10:00 pm

 

District Staff to review and assist with Certification of 9-10 and 10-11 Baseball Affidavits at the DA's Residence.

 

Note:  League Presidents, if your team did not bring their Affidavits, Team Books and all documentation, you will have to schedule a time this date to bring the needed paperwork to the DA's residence.

District Staff to review and assist with Certification of 9-10 and 10-11 Baseball Affidavits at the DA's Residence.

 

League Presidents to bring their team's affidavits and team's books for verification to the DA's Residence, if the Team fails to bring all the needed paperwork on the June 12th Mandatory Managers/Coaches Meeting.  Please call the District Office to schedule a time for this date.

 

Note:  League Presidents, please assure that the one copy of the Team Affidavit that your bring with your team's books has all the required signatures and is a completed printed copy which is the same as the electronic copy sent to the District office 24 hours prior.

June 15th, 2010 (Tuesday)

1st Day that Tournaments Teams can be announced.

Exception: 9-10 & 10-11 Baseball ONLY can announce earlier, see above.

June 15th is the official Little League date to announce All-Star Teams.

 

Note:  9-10 Baseball and 10-11 Baseball can announce earlier due to their earlier start date, see above.

June 19th, 2010 (Saturday)

District All-Star Tournament Managers/Coaches Meeting.

10:00 am until 2:00 pm

9-10 Softball, 10-11 Softball, Little League Softball, Junior League Softball and Senior League Softball

Little League Baseball, Junior League Baseball & Senior League Baseball

District All-Star Little League Baseball, Junior League Baseball and Senior League Baseball Tournaments

The District All-Star Tournaments for Little League Baseball, Junior League Baseball and Senior League Baseball Divisions will be held starting June 28th, Monday and will run through July 9th, Friday, 2010 unless weather forces us to extend the schedule.

Schedules will be posted to the District website under the link "Tournaments".

Big League Baseball will be scheduled upon receipt of the Section and State Schedules.

June 30th,  (Wed) thru July 10th (Saturday)

All Divisions of District All-Star Softball Tournaments

The District All-Star Tournaments for ALL softball divisions will be held starting June 30th and will run through July 10th, 2010 unless weather forces us to extend the schedule.

Schedules will be posted to the District website under the link "Tournaments".

July 22nd,  (Thursday)

TEXAS WEST STATE TOURNAMENTS

Tentative Start Date for Texas West State Tournaments

The start date for the Texas West State Tournaments has been set for July 22nd.

You will note that last year the start dates were staggered for different divisions and this may be the case this year.
